edinmass
Sorry, sometimes I can’t help myself. I think it’s beyond a one ton to haul even with a good open trailer and brakes. That’s the world of commercial hauling.........just like collectors who have armor and other such heavy toys. Usually the local fire truck club guys have access to reasonable hauling.........I would try there.

Restorer32
We delivered an ALF Speedster to a client yesterday. We know it weighs 6000 lbs. He wanted us to take his '24 Pumper/Hose truck back to the shop for some mechanical work. Glad we didn't winch it onto our virtually new all aluminum closed trailer. We could have pulled it with our Ram Diesel Dually but I'm afraid the trailer might have objected. Our guess on the weight was 10-12k.
edinmass
Ever try to straighten an aluminum trailer when it bends? You recycle it and buy a new one. That’s the one objection to them.

Swear57
My 29 Seagrave ladder truck weighs in at 17,000 No light weight. Make sure you have enough truck & trailer to pull this & stop.
Restorer32
She's being delivered by rollback this morning. 100 miles from DC. We paid too much for our aluminum trailer to see it crushed like an old beer can.
