You are not missing a thing. The one in most of the pics has been on CL for a long time.

auburnseeker
The first one looks like the right car. Which I haven't seen that one before.
TexRiv_63
All of these pictures are of a 1962 Starfire, not a 1961.
auburnseeker
Except the first which is a 61 and the subject car I believe.

Whenever I'm selling a car I like to mix in random pictures of my other similar but not the same car to keep potential purchasers on their toes. 1
The 55er
I'm not following this ad at all. Why post five pictures of a 62 Coupe when you're selling a 1961 Convertible? The coupe looks rusty (bad rusty underneath?) and I was thinking maybe it's a parts car but there's very little commonality from 61 to 62 in body parts & trim. Is the price for one car or two? And why is it listed in the Classic Car Club of America Forum?
James DeLorenzo
Sorry, I am posting the car for my dad and posted the wrong photos by accident. I have updated the post with the correct photos. 1

The 55er
I have seen this 1961 Starfire before. It was discussed at length on these forums back in July 2020.
Marty Roth
Isn't the 1961 Starfire the model where the full wheelcovers did not have a hole for the tire valve to "poke" through, and one had to remove the wheel cover to check tire pressure?

I haven’t heard that before, but I guess it’s possible. Easy enough to fix:
deaddds
61-63 full covers have those pita spring clips. You can pry them away just enough to air them up and promptly pinch your fingers when done. But they look good.

Easy enough to fix: You "COULD" do that, but why would you ruin an exceedingly rare and expensive part, just for convenience? Maybe use a more conventional cover for other-than-concourse purposes? The 55er
Actually 1957-1960 and 1962-1963 Olds Deluxe hubcaps were held on by those special clips. 1961 caps had holes in them for the valve stems to poke through. Oldsfan
Actually, 61s did have a hole for the valve stem AND were held on with clips. '61 clips were shorter than the other years.
