We purchased this car from our neighbor in 2012 and then started restoring it. The car has an entirely rebuilt drivetrain (engine, transmission, torque tube, rear end, brakes) and a new interior. The car runs and drives very well and looks great going down the road. The car could use some bodywork (if one wished) and we have all the rare parts (fenders, hood, rocker panels, etc) needed for someone to do this someday. Below are the details regarding the car’s restoration:Mechanical: * 401 Nailhead engine that was professionally rebuilt in 2015. * Twin-turbine transmission, torque tube (drive shaft), and rear end professionally rebuilt 2014. * New brakes in 2019.Interior: * Seats, headliner, carpeting, and door panels in very good condition. * Dash restored circa 2013-2014 * Modern bluetooth radio system (RetroRad)Extra parts that must go with the car: * Original 364 nailhead engine (matching numbers) * Extra rear wraparound window * Hood (very rare part) * Driver’s side and passengers side fenders (very rare parts) * Several boxes with a variety of parts. Smartin Posted July 10, 2021 Share Posted July 10, 2021 Rocker repair on the driver side scares me...look at the rear lower corner just in front of the wheel.. Also what appears to be a lack of front fender-to-rocker seam. It has mysteriously disappeared.
