Nice looking car and a 98 as a bonus. The speedometer does not seem right. When you first start out the strip is green to 35 mph, then yellow up to 50 and then red after that. Very nice looking dash. I owned a '60 and it was always a pleasure to drive.

I can't help but wonder if this is the first attempt at an old car flip from this seller. He's seen all the B-J & Mecum auction shows on TV and now he wants to participate in the fun. His strategy is to overhype the car & advertise it on as many sites (Ebay, FB, CL, Offer up) as possible and hope THE RIGHT GUY comes along so he can make a huge profit for himself. He uses all the colorful terms in his ads (barn find, all original, creampuff, just like it left the factory, etc). He shows pics of rather insignificant items like a Tune & Test kit, sales ad, 63 MoTor's manual and a wiring diagram (maybe $25 worth of stuff) to help his cause. The car is a nice survivor but IMO far from the creampuff catagory with the toasted carpet & windlace, patched driver's seat back & faded paint on the hood & trunk. He might not even know those full steel baby moon hubcaps aren't the originals. At least he stuck a Buick floor mat over the carpet tear by the accelerator pedal to hide the stuffing that was coming out. Time will tell if he's successful or not but after doing a little online research I've found a number of 59 Oldsmobiles for sale for half his asking price that seem like better deals.

On 8/27, Flipper reduced prices on different listings:

Craigslist reduced from $24,500 to $23,900

Ebay starting bid reduced from $19,000 to $18,000; the Buy-It-Now Price reduced from $24,500 to $21,750

Offerup reduced from $24,500 to $22,500

His pricing is confusing at best.

I can't help but feel that if the Seller that had owned this car for 62 years hadn't priced so high in the beginning, $19,500 on July 4, this car might have gone to an enthusiast with a modest budget instead of this Flipper.  Now the car is sitting outside in the Florida heat exposed to salt air from proximity to the ocean.  Both Sellers are greedy.  Just my humble opinion.
