1968 Chrysler Imperial, $12,500, Charleston, SC

Recommended Posts

Craigslist ad, I don't know anything about the car or the seller. Looks like a decent car except for the rinky dink steering wheel.

Wasn't this one posted before? I remember the goofy steering wheel.

Could be. It's been on craigslist before but I don't believe I posted it here. I did a search and didn't find it, but then again I seldom find what I'm searching for.

To me it says there was a problem with the steering/tilt/telescope/turn signal/light dimmer switches, and it was easier and cheaper to remove the whole thing and replace it with the chintzy wheel. It might still be a good buy if that's the only shortcut that was made. What are the chances of that?

I believe these steering wheels may have been prone to deteriorating and falling apart. Still a wheel out of another model would look better than this replacement.

Here's an original.
