Early electric light, late brass era ?

Anyone recognize this mid - late teens cowl light ? High quality unit with mounting bracket. Brass body was probably painted, rim nickeled. No name anywhere but casting numbers on mount , seems to read 3806 but the first 2 numbers are somewhat unclear. 6" lens. For a flat firewall so perhaps a premium quality truck unit ?

That is the spitting image of a 1912 Cadillac cowl light including the bracket but should be stamped Made for Cadillac by Gray and Davis on top.

Interesting. I was thinking the same myself . But like you say any I have seen have the Cadillac and Gray and Davis engraving. I doubt G and D offered them as an accessory but I suppose it is possible. But in that case I would at least expect a Gray and Davis name to be on the light.
