1936 Cord, Model 810 Scam or Stupid Ad - you tell me.

Having been in the market for one of these cars for about five years, I can say the strong prices that were common are now not so prevalent. I think the market on them is back to 2010 numbers.

I "know" my Cord, because early on I was advised to learn about it, do the work myself, and so forth.  I understand how it works, more importantly I understand how it DOESN'T work and have been successful in fixing it to run.

I traded a 1934 Pierce production Silver Arrow V-12 for my Cord.  I've always said that I traded mechanical excellence for timeless beauty.  As with most things beautiful, the upkeep is usually a higher realm of maintenance.

Where I come from, that’s a poor decision. Just saying. Did you buy a tow truck for the Cord? 😏

The good news........you will only regret that trade once...........which will be continuously! 😛

Well, Ed, I was young and foolish, my new wife and I had gone to a CCCA Grand Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas.  There we rode in a Cord phaeton and we both agreed we needed one.

One soon became available, I had no money, but did have the unrestored V-12 (though it ran great).  Thus the decision was made.

And yes, I'm still looking for the Pierce Arrow tow truck!
