A Jerrari?

Recommended Posts

It was prominently displayed at the Harrahs Auto Collection in the early 1980s.  Shame that the HAC got broken up - but Holiday Inns, who bought the hotels/casinos, had no interest in keeping it intact.

If this is indeed the Harrah creation it has gone thru some major changes.

I recall that Bills car looked  like a Jeep. You would have to open the hood to see that it was not stock.

And it wasn't green.

Funny - I was thinking the same thing.  I lived in Reno in the early 1980s, and used to go over to see the collection on occasion.  But it has been so many years that I figured I was not remembering it right.

Harrah built TWO Jerraries. The green one is the first, a 1968. This is the second, a 1977. The latter is the one that retained the Jeep front end.

Thanks for this Joe,

Interesting, The one you show is the only one I had seen.

The story goes that apparently Bill needed something less "flamboyant' to drive to the casinos. 😁

Thanks for the photo!  Yes - that brown 1977 is the one I remember.  The V-12 was so cleanly integrated "it looked like it came from the factory that way".
