rocketraider
Let me guess- the lucite and woodgrain foil trim has busted up and fallen out. I'll have to find it, but someone referenced a fellow in Pennsylvania who can restore these wheels. He had just done one for the poster's 1969 Eldorado. It was in a thread about someone having put a Walmart steering wheel cover on a 49 Cadillac's wheel.
rocketraider
Found the thread but can't figure out how to link it here. Anyway, John_S_in_Penna referenced Gary's Steering Wheel Restoration in Carlisle PA.
joe_padavano
I've used Gary's. Fantastic work, priced accordingly. I had him do the wheel for my 67 Delta. Cost about $750. A friend of mine had him do a wheel for a 1963 Grand Prix. That wheel has clear sections that had to be re-molded. Cost about $1200. There's a lot of finicky hand labor and finishing, thus the price. The quality is outstanding. You get what you pay for.
