Reaper1 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I know this is something that can be done, but has anyone with a TC had it done, and if so, by which company? The belts get faded and I'm sure that they are also deteriorated due to UV and all, so the harness is not as strong/elastic (yes, they do stretch in the case of the worst) as it should be. Just wondering. 1
Hemi Dude Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Just for the record, my 1988 built TC appears to have no deterioration of the seat belts. I have nothing further to add. 2

New seat belt material with a 5000 pound rating is available on Amazon. More than likely the rating on the factory seat belt material is higher than that. I'm more worried about getting into situations where I need the seat belts than I am about the seat belts breaking. 1
marty mopar Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I have some of the seatbelts NOS and some that are used and perfect
Reaper1 Posted June 10, 2021 Author Posted June 10, 2021 Just as a note, in the aerospace industry we test certain components to 16G (16x whatever the maximum rated load is). I would imagine seatbelts are WAY up there... We source those from vendors, so I don't know what they test them to.

I'm looking for a driver side female end with the buckle for my white 1975 Buick LeSabre convertible with oxblood interior. I imagine the seatbelts in the B-body Oldsmobile Delta 88, Pontiac GrandVille and Chevrolet Caprice would fit, as well. Do you think you might have anything?
