john ullrich Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 On the 320 large engine for 1937 there is a 3/8 tapped outlet in the block located drivers side just next to the crankcase ventilator and hiding right behind the generator.......what is this for???? I checked both of my 1937 320 engines and while they both have a solid boss that juts out just behind the crankcase ventilator, neither of them is drilled and tapped. I would guess that it must be left over from an earlier year's version of the block. Maybe your engine is an earlier production than my two and they stopped drilling and tapping them when they realized that they no longer needed to? What is your engine serial number? If it is earlier than mine, it would be interesting to see a 1936 320 engine and see if there is anything attached at that point. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
37_Roadmaster_C Posted June 6, 2021 Share Posted June 6, 2021 I am away from my 37 so I can not look, but I seem to remember a water jacket plug in the area the OP mentioned.
