1957Birdman
Hi Michael, Check out the following thread on Gil's Garage: Holley Carburetors and the Holley Custom Shop – Classic Thunderbird Club International (ctci.org) . You will probably have to go the rebuild route. Concours Auto Parts for one offers a restore with exchange. The cost is $365 with $300 core charge. Good luck, Lew Bachman 1957 Thunderbird
carbking
There are LOTS of different teapot carburetors; some more common than others. Depending on scarcity and desirability, prices can range from "not as much as I expected" to "HOW MUCH?????" The "LIST" number on the base identifies the carburetor. The complete "LIST" string has meaning, both to application, AND price. Examples: R-1161-A will be higher than R-1161-1A or R-1161-2A Don't expect to find any R-1434-A, R-1437-A, R-1536-A, or R-1599-A at the prices in the previous post to this one. There are others in this category, but this early, functioning on only one cup of coffee, and don't remember the numbers. Jon.
