6T-FinSeeker
For Sale on Craigslist: 1957 Mercury Monterey 4dr Sedan in Ventura, CA - $14,900 - No phone # provided. Reply to Seller through Craigslist email to: 68d36835626f3335aaa0577d006e7c68@sale.craigslist.org Link: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/ventura-1957-mercury-monterey-great/7324925479.html Seller's Description: 1957 Mercury Monterey 4dr Sedan cylinders: 8 cylinders transmission: automatic odometer: 50,500 title status: clean This 1957 Mercury Monterey is in pretty amazing condition and drives beautifully. It Has the 312 V8 that runs perfectly. It has a pushbutton automatic transmission and air conditioning that blows cold. It actually has the original interior that is still under plastic from day one. The headliner is original and perfect. The door panels are original. This car may only have 50,000 miles on it because it was stored in a museum for sometime but I cannot Verify that. You can tell when you see it though that the interior has almost no wear and the other areas inside also reflect very low mileage. I believe the motor has been rebuilt and the radiator has been replaced. It has too many new mechanical parts list and it also has boxes of new parts that are still in the original box that were purchased just in case, such as all new front end components. It Comes with a back up set of original heads and exhaust manifolds. It also comes with a second set new tires and American racing daisy wheels if you don’t like the stock look. This car is very fun to drive and it makes people so happy to see it out on the road. It’s not perfect cosmetically. It has a few nicks and scratches in the paint and a little bit of surface rust above the headlights but from a distance it looks beautiful. No rust issues underneath. It has always been in a very dry climate and stored inside. All of the lights, turn signals, and gauges work, even the clock. It’s very reliable and is ready to drive and enjoy right now. I thought I would test out craigslist first, otherwise I may put it on Bring A Trailer where I think it will go for a much higher number. I have the clean California title in my name and it is currently registered and up-to-date. If you are interested, please email me a phone number where I can reach you. I need to filter out the scammers and bogus inquiries. I do not need any help Selling it and I am not interested in trade offers. Thank you for your interest. plymouthcranbrook
Love the child seat. Our older kids rode in a somewhat newer version of that style.

Guest
I'm really surprised at how many of these late 50's Mercs keep popping up!

deac
This car oozes the 1950's era and it also has curb appeal. I do like it but reality is I really can't buy it Raising price at this point is really not a good thing because I am stuck on the 14 grand asking price. Games people play!
TexRiv_63
Pretty car, but if it didn't sell at $14,900, why increase the price by $3000? He should be listing this with Hemmings.
kingrudy
One sure way to make sure a car does not sell. When no one shows interest at 15K asking price, raise that price to 18k. This is becoming a common strategy in the auto market, but I don't know why. I do like the style of this car. Fossil
I hate to see someone jacking the price up on a car no matter how nice it is. Far better to do your research before posting it the first time. Is that rust out showing above the right headlight? Sure is a nice and nothing as refreshing as a mellow yellow and white car. Has springtime written all over it.
