It came with Ford stuff but I looked until I got overwhelmed and didn't match it..

No match on Studebaker or Nash that I could find , I'm not good on Google.

Anyone recognize it?

I see a polar bear in a snowstorm.

With what appears to be a simple threaded 5/16" bolt, don't think it is meant to be turned, has no square end etc. Those half moon indents may suggest it was part of a hood ornament, with the missing part (a yoke) keeping it in a straight line.

Thanks Gunsmoke and 55er. Correct it is Lincoln. I new I had seen it before but drew a blank.

Several on ebay , claiming 41-47 Lincoln or Continental. One claims it's part of the handle to open hood.

See photo.

Maybe there are different types for different years and models.

Not expecting a big margin on this, some near new ones on ebay.

They 1940 Zephyr-Continental hood ornament twisted to release the hood.

The 1941 and up were bolted to the sheet metal and used an inside hood release.
