lancemb
WOW that's nice! Really annoying when the second owner advertises a car as "1 owner" though. I thought anyone with a drivers license could count to 2?
dmfconsult
Boy, these 2-dr coupes are really coming out of the wood work! Even though this is a Park Avenue, I think I'd prefer the one in North Carolina currently offered at $10K as it appears in better condition.
TexRiv_63
I'd be careful of this one, interior looks bad for a car with supposedly low miles. Headliner falling down, heavy corrosion / discoloration of dash trim.
B Jake Moran
Not sure. 1st, if the headliner has not been replaced on an original one, it will eventually need it. I believe even the very nice one that recently sold on ebay for $25,000 needed headliner replacement (and had it done). $12,500 ? As John noted, not sure I want to go over $10,000. My 1978 Olds 98 was this color. It's OK, but common. This one has intact bumper separation plastics known as "fillers" with decent looking paint. It originated in western Nebraska and apparently was in Colorado until recently. These are generally rust free areas of the country with less precipitation. I suspect it is in Michigan now because someone in the family had to go to Colorado to settle an estate and does not want this car. Therefore, they "consigned" it to a dealer and want the cash. Just speculation but I would not doubt that is close to the story. My dad left me a $100 10 foot plastic kayak.
lancemb
I don't see any reason to doubt the mileage. I don't think the body nor interior would look like that if odometer rolled over. Those headliners sagged when these cars were only 10 years old, let alone >40. The chromed metal pieces inside did not have very high quality plating and surface corrosion is not uncommon on any one if its never been polished off, and the plastic chromed parts often started to peel or flake when the cars were not very old. I crawled around a ton of cars of this era when they were 10-15 years old and would come into my dad's shop and remember vividly the state of them in their varying degrees.
