This car was made at an intersection in

automotive history:  The bright colors of

the mid-1950's were coming into favor,

while Chrysler's conservative styling of the

early 1950's was heading out.

Seems a solid car for driving-

interesting that it features the optional trunk-lid-broomstick support system.

When photographing your car for sale, background items should be considered.

This one appears to have the rear fender mounted and very patriotic "Old Glory" antenna

There's a bit of wear on the top left of the brake pedal. Maybe it's an appropriate amount. I'm not sure. Do you guys have any thoughts? Also, do you think that some type of aftermarket air conditioner would devalue such an original car?

To me, an aftermarket air conditioner, if from the

period of the car itself, is interesting.  It would not

devalue the car in my eyes in the least.  If it was

not working, I would even get it working.

Even though it doesn't fit into the AACA standards for

judging, I feel it would be an important part of history

that should be preserved, never discarded.

Is the trunk supposed to have springs, or struts? I don't think the stick that holds it open is correct. The stick does not detract from a very beautiful car, just curious.

Yes, I'm sure that something is broken or missing. I'm sure that whatever it is, it's repairable or replaceable. I can't imagine why the current owner hasn't dealt with it.
