However, his criteria are probably impossible, as convertibles will sell for at least double. And what trade is going to come along "in a few weeks"? I suspect he'll be selling this outright for under $20,000, but it may take him a while to realize what the market is!
John_S_in_Penna
It's something like, "For Sale: 1971 AMC Gremlin, excellent shape. Will only trade for 1971 Chevelle SS 396 in same condition." 3
neil morse
Looks like a nice example of a not particularly desirable car for a ridiculous price. (@58L-Y8, you might want to edit the thread title -- this is near Oroville, way north of the SF Bay Area.)
edinmass
Looks like a very nice car. The telephone number asking price is how shall we say, optimistic if you just did a key of Peruvian Gold blow. While I like it, why would anyone want such a monstrosity. It will sell and be loved and cherished........at a price. I should clarify...........that price and a key is for the good southern Peru white gold, not the cheap, harsh, northern variety. 😂 Edited April 18, 2021 by edinmass (see edit history) 1
mopar_mutt_57
I have a sneaking suspicion that his idea of what the car is worth is much higher than what anybody would be willing to pay. For Christ's sake, quit playing games and come up with a price!
Mark Huston
I always find it amusing when a car like this Lincoln is described as in “perfect condition “ then later in the description the seller states the “AC doesn’t work but all the parts are there.” I love the looks of this Lincoln based on the pictures but would not trust the sellers hype. 58L-Y8
The "$123,456" price is only a placeholder since Craigslist requires a price to be inserted. You'll also see "$1" used the same way.
kingrudy
Beautiful looking car, but willing to trade my hardtop for a convertible might be a stretch.
