This isn't a 300H letter series car, only 123 convertibles were built. A true 300H would have a 413 engine. This 300 is still a fairly rare car but not as desirable.

Somebody help me out.  A 300 isn’t a letter car, right?

A.J.  Chrysler replaced the Windsor with the Sport Series 300 or 300 Sport for 1962.   It was a transparent use of the 300 name and its high-performance reputation to generate sales for their middle-priced Chryslers.  Of course, it was confusing since the high-performance Letter-Series 300H continued with virtually the same appearance, but was significantly better equipped and more expensive, in the Imperial Custom price range.

The tent and parts on the ground don't give me a good feeling.   Also, isn't Hawaii known to rust out cars?

Yes, extreme rust in Hawaii.
