Oil pipe on front of block - 1928 Master Six

Recommended Posts

Hi - We're rebuilding a 1928 Master six engine in the UK and have found a few bits are missing and we would appreciate some help please. At the moment our focus is on the oil system and in particular, the elbow that connects to the front of the block with a pipe that vents into the crankcase below. Does this elbow have a restrictor fitted?

Thanks for your help - Roger

Roger,

Not a lot of photos of this oil return pipe.  On my 1925 Standard 6, I believe this was a flange on one end with 2 bolts.  The tube went down into the hole in the engine block.  No restrictions that I recall.    Hugh

Roger,

I just happened across that oil return tube that attaches to the front of the engine.  I have an extra one from a motor that was found in a field.  There is no restriction in that tubing.    Hugh
