rodneybeauchamp
Hi all, having been spoilt by vehicles that automatically turn off or warn you if you have left headlights on, I would like to add this feature to my 1963 Buick. Twice now I have been lucky and noticed that they were left on, but don’t want to make a habit. Looked on line and many seem to use a noisy harsh buzzer or air raid siren which is very uncouth for a Buick. It needs to be more musical, like the chimes found in a 78 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that a friend had. So looking for suggestions of what I could use that would be both musical and robust. Apparently the wiring is simple with the power coming from the headlamps and the door switch grounding the circuit. Has anyone else installed a similar warning chime and would recommend? joe_padavano
I'm pretty sure that "nice sounding reminder" is an oxymoron. In any case, most high-end GM full size cars in the 1980s used a chime module that plugged in near the fuse box.
