Old buicks 2
What is a good way to seal the two bolts that hold the top water outlet to the head on the 28 Chevy 4 cylinder?
BearsFan315
do you have the proper gasket ?? and is water leaking around the threads ?? if leaking around the threads, you could use a thread sealer. just a small amount on the threads where they engage the head. do not was a glob as it will end up in engine and ruin it !! Old buicks 2
I have a new gasket, but am now wondering it came with bolts or studs and nuts?
a sell
Originally it had 2 copper clad washers under the bolt heads for the thermostat housing. Some people switch out the bolts to stainless, but you still need the copper clad washers. I think the Filling Station sells them. Hard to source elsewhere. a sell
Yes, they are the 3/8" clad washers. I have a whole jar of the 5/16 washers but only a few of the 3/8".
