leomara
This is the oil filter which came on my 1928 Chrysler model 72. I do not know if it is genuine or generic nor what type of filter cartridge it requires.
hwellens
That looks like a generic (Fram?). If it had an oil filter originally you would have to replace the complete unit; no internal cartridge replacement. Take the top off and see if there is a cartridge in there. If not measure the inside diameter and depth and go to a parts store that sells filter. They can probable get something that fits. May be a Fram C-
leomara
Thank you. Yes I know the originals were throwaways. Saw one at Jay's but it hardly seemed to be the practical way to go.......
Tim Wolfe
The ones on my 1930 Chrysler's look original, but inside are hidden modern filters. The housings come apart to hide the new filters.
cdb
the filter you have must be from a ww2 jeep or dodge, cartridges are easy to get. put mine on the engine.
