Nethercutt Collection - Sylmar, CA (Northern LA)

If you ever find yourself in southern California the Nethercutt is a must see.   You need to call ahead for a reservation to see the salon and the music studio,  but you can just drop in for the museum across the street.   The Salon has the top stuff, but the museum has a lot of very cool cars too.

I visited  the Nethercutt a few years ago. Grand Salon was amazing.  The music collection was like nothing you will ever see.

Used to be , often you could drop in and get a reservation for later in the day across the street. No admission change. Yeah, in addition to all the cars, the “music boxes”  are amazing too. I seem to remember a mechanical string quartet.    -    Carl

The Nethercutt must be one of the best all round car museums in the US.    The main gallery has some of the finest classics anywhere, and  is free (need reservations) but across the street, no reservation needed, free parking 

and a huge variety of cars reside there.    I have been to something like 60 car museums/collections and the Nethercutt is right at the top of the list.
