I laugh to myself every time I see one of these. The Pastor of our parish church, one Father Brennan, drove a green '55 or '56 Imperial two door hardtop and smoked cigars endlessly. I recall when he would come in our families Conoco station, that he would open the window to speak and the smoke would knock you over. I never asked anyone how he came to own an Imperial, but I do remember someone remarking that nuns took vows of poverty, but not priests.

I don't know authenticity but love the interior fabric.  Without knowing I would assume this is what it should look like, and the fact they spent the money really sets the car off nicely.  Seems so many people skimp on interior surfaces that it really ruins the car, especially at the cost of labor to get a nice interior done.

That is the correct pattern for the interior panels and seats.

I called to get more information.

The owner had an offer for $25,000, but declined it,

and sold it for $27,000 just today.

Thanks, Fin Seeker, for pointing out these interesting finds.

The interior was done with the correct fabric,

but with white vinyl instead of the correct leather.

All in all, a nice #3 condition car.

My price guide from Krause Publications estimated

$28,800 in #3 condition as they define it.
