Brad Conley
Amber didn't become into being until the 1963 model year. Before that, everything was white/clear.

Marty Roth
Ben and Brad are correct- Back when the ‘63 models came out, I bought the amber paint then available from Pep Boys to tint the inside of the parking light lenses on my 1956 Chevy Bel-air convertible

Brad Conley
Currently 63 Bill. Born February 1958. I was 4-5 when 1963 mandates came out. The 1975 Skyhawk was the first new car I ever bought and the 1964 Electra I own was passed from my Grandmother to my uncle (her son) and then to me. I was with her when she ordered it from Val Heim Buick in Troy, Ohio in the fall of 1963. Memories...
mobileparts
And, if you can't find amber bulb paint anymore, Go to the nail polish counter at the local department store women's section.....

The amber bulbs are available. I was having an issue with my turn signal on my 60 Electra. I fitted a Bosch 1157A(amber bulb in) as I was working on the problem. It fit and illuminated/blinked without issue.
mobileparts
The 1157A, I am sure, without checking, is still available.... But Some of the cornering bulbs in Amber, are probably not....
