6T-FinSeeker
Looks to be well maintained and in good shape. Based on the number of views, I'm wondering, why isn't there more interest in this short deck, limited run Cadillac? Thanks! Based on the number of views, I'm wondering, why isn't there more interest in this short deck, limited run Cadillac? Thanks! Price is too high. The one photo of the seat to me - appears to be non authentic clothe. Demerit right there for a $16,500 car that one would hope to purchase to take to local shows and join the CLC. 2. Heater core - expensive and may be unobtainium on this car. 3. Why do all old cars seem to not have operational A/C? Because of the cost to repair. You are looking at $2500 to $4000 right there. (This is one reason I don't want A/C in an older collector car). 4. It still has 4 doors, limited numbers mean nothing to 99% of the collector car world, in this case. I personally would have no issue owning a Park Avenue. Normal 4 door sedans of this era are long enough as it is, and there is no modern need for that huge trunk. Hard to say where it will end up. $11,000? Edited March 17, 2021 by B Jake Moran (see edit history) 2
suchan
Seat stitching looks original; maybe the blue seat faded to purple? Judging from the fading on the dash pad, it looks like the car caught some sun.
B Jake Moran
Thanks for confirming. It looks velourish to me but admittedly I don't know 62 Cadillacs too well. I have owned a 64 CdV, this was an age of wonderful attention to detail in interiors.
The 55er
They used some kind of an incorrect later velour material on the front seat, wrong pattern too. 1959-1962 Caddy heater cores are available on Ebay ($500) which explains why it hasn't been fixed. Blue finish looks faded to me, time for an expensive repaint. Car looks like a good restoration candidate but plan on spending some seriously big money to bring it up to snuff.
