Pete Phillips
This and some other cars are going to be auctioned near Wichita, Kansas later this month. I got my friend Chuck Kerls to go take these photos, but he could not determine what series the Buick is. The series name is worn off of the side of the hood and I can't quite see the exhaust manifold enough to tell if it is a 3-piece or a 1-piece. Anybody have an opinion? Pete Phillips
Couple more photos of it.
BuickBob49
I'd say a Special or Century. The clutch and brake pedal pads are small. The large series cars had bigger pedals. Separately, that spark plug cover looks like it is for a later engine, 1940s.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
I think Special. I cannot see the crankcase vent at the back OR front. Should see it at the front if it is there. Therefore small engine. Ben
dibarlaw
Pete: Somewhat cobbled up carb variation. But looks like a Special to me. What my original Marvel BD-1 carb set up looks like. The vent sould be in the rear on this side.
pont35cpe
Pete, Chuck should have looked at the cowl(firewall tag)probably behind the oil filter. Looks like the first 248 cu in, would have flat top pistons. Is there a site to see what else is being auctioned? You can barely see the vent, kinda hidden by the linkage. MCHinson
I would be fairly certain that is a Model 41.

dibarlaw
1933 BUICK M 80 BODY 4S It would be interesting to see what this one looks like. They do not have photos posted of it as of yet.

DLynskey
The auctioneer should invest in a better camera. $10 should buy one better than the one he used here. Or maybe he thought fewer people would bid if they could actually see what they're bidding on. Don

They do not have photos posted of it as of yet. Only one Buick in MS excel list. so my guess its the 1937. Unless the list is incomplete The title ID 10703819 and ID# 2659541 do not match any 1937 Buick numbers 1933 serial numbers start at 2659523, so close to list ID The worst pictures of cars to be sold that I have seen Edited March 10, 2021 by 1939_Buick (see edit history)
