1912Staver Posted March 6, 2021 Share Posted March 6, 2021 (edited) Here is another unidentified steering assy. out of my shed. I believe it is probably a Gemmer, and from a fairly small car. Note the unusual mounting bracket and that the pitman arm is on the inside of the frame rail, unlike most cars where it is outside the frame. Two rather short control stalks and it had at one time a wood spider steering wheel held on by 6 screws. Mark Wetherbee Posted March 6, 2021 Share Posted March 6, 2021 I can’t speak on the box, but the aluminum clamp, ignition and gas levers, and the internal holder for a horn button all match a Studebaker. Mine was a 24 Special 6, it had a wooden horn button that pushed onto that clip but it has been 25 years since I was under the hood and I can’t remember what the box looked like...I could see the style going back into the teens though.
