Here is a true survivor car that you don't see every day. This beautiful 1955 Desoto is all original from the engine all the way to the interior. It has a 291 V8 Firedome Hemi as all Chrysler cars did and are still able to keep up with the freeway. It has 65,000 original miles and runs smooth and even starts right up on a cold start. Had the booster and master cylinder rebuilt as there was a tear in the booster diaphragm but besides that fix, there isn't anything else it really needs. cruises nicely and gets lots of attention. I have extra parts such as some new brake shoes, trim, oil filter, and the original radio to replace the Audiovox. I'm asking 16k OBO. Thank you and have a great day.

If that's original paint, it's very nice. Desotos are probably the prettiest of all the Mopars during the Exner years (odd looking '61 model aside.) In that regard, it's hard to understand why they were the brand that Chrysler dropped back then. I know that sales were the determining factor, but hard to figure why sales were poor.

This looks like a nice car but it sounds like a flip to me. A classic Hemi-powered Mopar with no engine pics? BTW not all Chrysler product cars had a 291 cu.in. engine, that engine was only offered on 1955 Desotos. For 16K I would expect it to start right up and idle smooth. With its low mileage and clean appearance I'll bet it finds a new home unless I'm missing something.
