Wow, I didn't even know these existed. They must not have made that many. If it runs decent and has a title, I agree that it probably won't last long.

Two-door wagons were on many car-makers'

rosters at this time.  They were typically the

least expensive wagons, without many frills.

(The Chevrolet Nomad was a specialty car and

an exception, but Chevy made prosaic 2-door

wagons too.)  I don't think such low-end wagons

were very popular then, but they're distinctive today.

I am thinking that the unusual side trim makes it a "Silver Special" (?) 

Plymouth's attempt to add some value to their lowest line cars for the purpose of making them a little more appealing during the 1958 recession. Most all the entry level auto makers had some sort of an extra value package during those horrible times. 

 

"1958 Your Auto Buy Now!"  nation wide all make promotion.
