Define "rust". Are you talking about a smooth film, as noted above, or bubbles and pitting? And FYI, you might want to consider using a thread title that provides more relevant information. "Chevy TBI" doesn't tell us the year, motor, or even that this was a question about the cooling system. Help yourself by providing the people trying to help you with useful information.

Yet, the first ones are over 35 years old and have been eligible for AACA for more than a decade.

Heck, the multi port fuel injected ones are AACA material now! Like the LT1 through 1996. 😉
