It depends on the make. You will play hxxx finding someone to rebuild a Remy used on GM makes and a few others. Neither of the above mentioned rebuilders will service Remy.

Not sure it matters but Brett, one of the owners, and a very knowledgeable hands on guy passed away earlier this year.  I do not know the status of the business or of any changes but Brett was integral to the great work I always have gotten there.

Mark’s Magneto in Colchester, CT is a longtime advertiser in the HCCA magazine.  I have used them for parts, but do not have personal experience with their repairs.  I have heard good recommendations, though.

Another "thumbs up" for Mark's Magneto in Connecticut. They do great work, their prices are reasonable and the turn around is relatively fast. If it is a somewhat common magneto, they may even have one in stock so you do not have to wait for your core to get shipped, rebuilt, returned, etc.
