That will be a cool combination.


For those who don't know, AMT was originally called Aluminum Model Toys.  The only aluminum model car they made in their first year (1948) was the Ford Fordor in 1/25th scale.  For 1949, they switched to injection-molded plastic and made the Ford Custom Fordor and Plymouth four-door.  In 1950, they added the Studebaker coupe to the lineup.  In 1951, they dropped the Plymouth, added the Pontiac Chieftain 4-door in a slightly smaller scale, and also made a Packard-Henney ambulance in 1/20th scale.  The 1952 lineup was the Ford Customline 4-door, Studebaker coupe, Chieftain 4-door and Divco milk truck!  Multiple body styles of Ford started in 1953 with the Indy Pace Car and Customline 4-door.  The Chieftain Catalina and Studebaker coupe were also made.  That's enough for now ...
