A no-rust, running Commander 2dr is worth asking price for a serious builder. How much $$ do some owners pay for buying patch panels & paying a body shop to weld, beat and fill a rusty body?

As long as all the parts are there, I don't think $4500 is too out of line for it.  Most who want to restore a car of any make would want to tear it down to the level as seen in the photos to restore it.

And it appears it is a rather well optioned car, with radio, clock, backup lights, etc.

That's the conundrum.

Any project vehicle needs to have some dismantling in the process and, in that process it becomes less appealing once the owner has lost interest, even though some essential labor has already been accomplished.

The only thing I see going against this as an investment is the fact it is a two door sedan, and not a Starlight or convertible; but those sedans were some very fine vehicles.

And I'm thrilled to see more people finding them worth resurrecting.
