leomara
I don't find any references to the equivalencies of the Whitmore gear oils to anything now on the market. May I assume that AGMA 8EP ISO 680 will work or even Model A Ford 600W Trans, Rear End and Steering Box Oil?
viv w
I've used EP140 gear oil for years no problem. The Model A ford 600W was the designated oil, but most Ford Model A articles I have read say use EP140 as it is pretty much the same.
Dave Deppe
I had this question when deciding what oil into put into my 1924 Chrysler gearbox and rear axle. There are two viscosity rating scales here, one is ISO and the other is SAE. Here is a link to an article that shows a comparison in viscosity between the ISO and SAE scales, with an equivalency chart. This was found through an internet search, it's not mine: https://stratson.eu/viscosity-wading-through-the-numbers/
