1936 dodge side trim fasteners/ clips

Recommended Posts

These trim clips are really hard to find anymore.  Several years ago, I was in need of several of them and could not find them (at a fair price) so I just bought some flat headed machine bolts and used a grinder to grind down two of the edges until they would fit into and slide in the grooves.  I then put a flat washer then a lock washer then the nut on them from inside the body.  Not original but they sure hold the trim on tight.  Just an idea until you locate the original ones.  I used to see whole boxes of them at swap meets but that was many years ago.  Good luck

Have you tried Restoration Specialties and Supply in Windber PA? Over the years I have purchased may items from them to put my cars back together again. Most recently some hard to find trim clips for my 40 Plymouth. Nice people too. Very knowledgeable.
