JamesR 1,202
What a beautiful car. I'd love to have it. Any hints for making the conspicuous dent at the peak of the hood a little less conspicuous? I just now see a substantial impact wound just above the rear bumper and below the trunk. Makes me wonder if the rear bumper has been replaced.
58L-Y8 2,092
The 1962 Series 62 Town Sedan and DeVille Park Avenue sedan were the short-deck models at 215" OAL, seven inches shorter than their line-mates at 222" OAL. Both models saw 2,600 units each respectively compared to the longer-decked 34,044 62 and 43,608 DeVille four door hardtops. The 1961-'63 short-decked Town Sedans and Park Avenues were offered in response to the downsized 1961 Lincoln Continentals, but also to respond to complaints from Cadillac owners about the difficulties encountered with parking and garaging their increasing lengthily cars. Neither short-decked model returned for 1964 after the tepid sales demonstrated the problem wasn't that great with Cadillac customers. 3
C Carl 1,998
No A/C. Gotta have A/C. Air conditioned Cadillac, or it’s not quite Cadillac. - CC
58L-Y8 2,092
This 1962 Series 62 Town Sedan demonstrates what was still seen among even Cadillac buyers: "Yes, we can afford to buy the quality and prestige of a Cadillac, but no, don't spring for the frivolous, expensive options such as air conditioning ($474) and power window regulators ($118)." B Jake Moran 677
I never understood the fascination with NEEDING A/C in a collector car. We all agree A/C is a modern convenience we all must have. They don't even make cars with out A/C, it's standard. But, A/C was not common until the mid 60's. And it was not necessarily reliable for some time. I don't want my "old cars" to have anything power. Other than Power steering and brakes but if it's old enough to pre date those, I am still OK. I am into old cars for the style, the feel and the surrounding of whatever I buy. This car would be perfect.
JACK M 2,368
Where I live I turn on the AC about twice year. I would rather not have to maintain AC if its not used very often. All of the old stuff I go thru has AC that doesn't work. I would rather it wasn't there. And no I don't want to move anywhere that I need it.

That's why it was great when a buyer could order his car just the way he wanted! Northern cars may not need air conditioning; southern cars might not even need heat.
