This is a two owner car with 44,311 original miles. This 60 year old classic is rust free and painted Sultana White, its original color. This all numbers matching Mercury was built in San Jose, CA and has been in Los Angeles its whole life. The original 170cc inline 6 cylinder runs great, and the car has no known mechanical issues. Recent work includes: rebuilt original cylinder head, rebuilt original Holley carburetor, new water pump, rebuilt radiator, new hoses, belt, harmonic balancer, new fuel pump, Petronix electronic ignition, new plugs, plug wires, coil, new fuel line, filter, air cleaner, brakes, tires, restored fuel tank, new fuel tank sending unit, and all fluids changed. The rear seat and front seats were re-covered some time ago by the previous owner, and could be re-upholstered at some point, although they are presentable. The original chrome is generally in very fine shape, minus the front bumper which has lost some of its shine. This is not a show piece 100 point car. It is a very well running and reliable car that gets great gas mileage. Included with the Mercury are the original California license plates, which could be re-assigned, original owners manual, and tire jack. The Mercury has starred in several feature films, including the comedy TIDY TIM'S released in 2020 (colored red by the poster artist), and the upcoming horror feature 8 Days To Hell, starring Eric Roberts. This Mercury S-22 is a head turner and will only increase its value in the years to come. Don't miss your chance to own this rare classic. Happy to assist the new owner with shipping arrangements. The California title is free and clear with current registration. Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the new owner. As the vehicle is 60 years old it is being sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours after the auction closes, with full payment to be made within 1 week. No refunds or exchanges. Bid with confidence as I have a 100% rating. Good luck bidding! suchan
Nice clean little car! Ford Falcon with a little more panache. Movie credits would be worth a cup of coffee if coffee hadn't got so expensive. 3

Nowadays, I'm not even sure that "....starring Eric Roberts" would qualify as a "movie credit." I was surprised to see Eric in a couple of recent so called sci-fi movies that were free on youtube. It would be generous to even call them low budget...more like no budget. He was appearing with really bad amateur actors who had bigger roles than he did. His roles couldn't be described as cameo appearances, either. Not trying to trash Eric...I really like him as an actor, just sad to see such a decline. Kind of like when Bela Lugosi started appearing in Ed Wood films. I love the car, though. Looks pretty clean.

JamesR
Congrats to seller and new owner. I only now noticed how un-straight the grille and surrounding trim is. Just goes to show that when a car is generally straight and clean your eyes will gloss over some of the minor flaws. Shouldn't be a problem getting a replacement grille since FoMoCo made a whole lot of these cars in '61.
