Lots of history, records, awards, and accolades. Original build sheet, keys and car less one re-paint. Former magazine cover car, 9-time trophy winner and a dream to drive. Runs like a swiss watch and is beautiful on the freeways at 75 miles an hour with the hydramatic 4-speed transmission. The car is a two-owner vehicle and been in our family since 79. In 2014 I took over stewardship of the car as it had a stuck front piston from sitting for 25 years. I did a complete rebuild on the straight 8 which had no internal issues whatsoever. Rebuilt the carb, distributor, brakes, new heater cores, restored original radiator and added two cores, tires, tubes, filled up the shocks and have since put on about 1000 miles since firing her back up in 2016. The car has always been garaged and looked after and is immaculate for her age. Interior and trunk are still show quality. One re-paint back by original owner as it has some issues due to original paint of the time and he wanted to show and win which he did. Things still need to be done. Speedo needs to be sent out as well as oil pressure gauge. We used a standalone gauge and it idles at 42 PSI when cold. Car is dream to drive and an iconic piece of American automotive engineering. kingrudy
IMO this is a nice looking car, but most cars have a ceiling and the price on this one is a little over the top.
Hudsy Wudsy
I think that the heater blower and duct work under the hood need some explanation.
TerryB
Yes, the duct tape is probably not NOS.
deac
You guys know by now I like Pontiacs and if you didn't - you know now! I had a black 1950 2 door sedan and that 1940 coupe in the pictured to the right. The car has much going for it but the price kills it. Maybe a real nice 2 door Streamliner might get close to that price but a 4 door won't. When tuned the right way those straight 8's get it!. If anyone's interested in it I live about 10 minutes away and could go check it out 1
kingrudy
With all of the trophies, literature and such, I believe this owner has has this vehicle for some time and there may be some sentimental attachment here. IMO he needs to take a few steps back and look at this car objectively. I understand emotions can effect your judgement, because I sure like my car, but when you are trying to sell it you have to be realistic. 1
