His parents had a late 30's plymouth or dodge sedan. He said that cars top speed was 50mph loaded downhill! He was too young to drive but his best friend who was a bit older would often drive that car. On a trip to town on a Saturday night, doing what kids do, a cop (for reasons to me unknown) came behind and attempted to pull them over. All of the boys in the car persuaded the driver to outrun him. After giving chase a for a few miles, with no luck, they decided to pull over.
