58L-Y8
The Standard Catalog states 1927 total production at 2,037 cars, no breakdown by model. The 8-80, powered by a Lycoming 4HL 298 c.i. straight eight, same generally as the concurrent top-line Auburns.
alsancle
Now there is something you don't see too often. I have a 8 cylinder Loco thread going down in the CCCA forum that I will have to cross post this in.
George Smolinski
Looks like you could have the family dinner in the rear seating area. Would it have pop up jump seats? Looks like there's plenty of room.
zepher
Contrast this asking price for a running, driving car in decent shape with the 1925 Locomobile for sale that needs everything and then some.

Your point is valid and I agree, but there is a big difference between a Model 48 and an 880.

Sure there is, but how much would it cost and how long would it take to get the 48 to this condition? At least $300k?

At least $300k? I think the 48 is worth 10-15k as a parts car. 300K might get it restored if you can do a bunch of your own work. The shops I have experience with would take the 300k and ask when you are making the second installment.
