Beginning to look doable.

Yeah, I agree -- you're clickin' off a mile and a half every 60 seconds at 90 mph.  I can see where that constant buzz gets annoying...  :P

I hit my goal earlier this week somewhere in MO or KS along Route 66. Right now I'm at 3,033 miles since January 1st. I guess I'm covered for the next 1,012 years, assuming it works that way.

Let’s see, for me pre war so far this year.............I’m at somewhere around 2200-2300 miles so far. Hope to double that soon.

Replaced the radiator, plugs and wires recently and was able to clean up the Estate Wagon and got her out for a good 50 mile run. The wires made a world of difference…. The original wires were still on the car if you can believe it!  Only up to about 300 miles so far but should be able to go out more often with the leaking radiator fixed.

Gas is getting a little pricey around here though, makes you think twice about going for a cruise. You’re not seeing things, that is $1.949 per liter!

That is about $6.00/ gallon US$, correct?

Yes, I calculate it at slightly less than $6/gallon depending on the exchange rate. I heard it set a record for highest fuel price in North America.

I realize I don’t need 94 octane for a 78 350 but that grade here is ethanol free and is the same price of our other ethanol free alternative option at 91 octane.

I wanted to post a 'like' for this part of your post but this part...

I so wanted to post a 'sad' face!

Regular is hovering around 1.34/ liter here so far and that means a $145 dollar fill up for my F150 if I let it get down to 1/4 tank. (holds 124 litres)

My '58 Special holds 20 US gallons and I like to fill it with premium like you do for the same reason as you. Granted I don't  (and haven't so far this year) put her on the road daily but going to have to bite the bullet when she comes out later this summer...

I'm really hoping the price "relaxes" a bit as it is really out of hand.  Of course the local governments don't help as a large portion of that $1.95/liter is made of taxes, but that's another topic for another day.   I will just have to savour the aroma of the 94 octane being burned through a Buick!

We have been in a tour this week with the HCCA and put about 400 miles on the car.  We are at 878 for the year so far this year.  Last picture is of some of the cars that were on the tour.  Our car in in the middle of the line up.  These were just a few of the car on the tour.

Late to the game this year.

I just finished converting the front brakes back to the factory original drum setup. Started last fall and finally got it wrapped up and today was the test drive.

I put about 40 miles on it today. No problems stopping and no brake fade. Looks like I can sell the disc brake conversion kit now.

Stopped by the local Inn and took a photo too.

Finished replacing the speedometer cable on my other car (28 Whippet) but I have to wait till the spindles are ready to put more miles on it. A bit too much play in the kingpins.

Thanks John,

Good luck to all

I was surprised that I added 328 miles with the GS.

Especially since I only added 156 with the Super and yet I feel like I am always driving it.

And also added 144 with the Electra.

So this puts me at 1,560 miles so far. Gonna have to bump up the Super and Electra.

As a side note, i saw that between my annual inspections the Super gained 2000 miles last year. Meanwhile the Regal GS only went 1,300 miles between inspections.  Just thought that was a bit funny.
