GARY F
I worked for NCR from 1960 to 74. I saw a lot of antique registers. This emblem is old.

m-mman
Wasn't National Cash Register where Charles Kettering worked? The process of electrifying cash registers gave him the paradigm for the self starter. So there is a car connection.
Larry Schramm
National Cash Register was located on the south side of Dayton, Oh. The Kettering Laboratories were also located in Dayton, Oh. They became DELCO, Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company. It was incorporated in 1909. Yes, Kettering worked at NCR before starting DELCO. Look here for more info. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delco_Electronics#:~:text=The name Delco came from, first practical automobile self-starter.
