1964 Ford Falcon Futura 2d Hardtop 260 V8 4 speed

  Thinking about selling my Falcon although I'm not quite finished with it. I may let the next owner do the few tasks that are left to be finished. What makes this car special is it's a "no rust ever" survivor, 100% stock with the exception of the transmission and wheels. No need to worry about poorly done body work, patch panels, or heavy bondo because there isn't any. This car has all it's original unmolested sheet metal. Floorboards, rockers, quarter panels etc. are 100% solid.

  I purchased this car a few years ago from a good friend that had owned it for 30+ years. All trim was removed and it was stripped to bare metal and shot with epoxy primer. The original Wimbledon white was applied and buffed to perfection. A new headliner was installed and windshield seal. The bumpers are new as is the gas tank, sending unit and trunk mat. The Goodrich radial T/As are brand new on powder-coated 1968 GT wheels.

  The car was born with a Ford-O-Matic transmission but now sports a correct 4 speed toploader behind the original 260 V8. The conversion was done using all Ford factory original parts. The original 260 V8 runs well and has no unusual noises or smoke. It has never been rebuilt. It has 91,117 original miles and a clear Virginia title.

  The black interior is very nice but not perfect. I have new carpet that has not been installed. A couple of regular members here have been to my house and can vouch for the car.

 What needs to be done to finish? 1) Polish and install the grille and side trim. 2) Install the carpet and door panels. 3) Bleed the brakes.

  Price -$16,500. You might be able to buy a patched up car full of body filler and a non-original engine for less money, but not a car this nice. I may be interested in trades up or down. Things that interest me are 30's-60's pickups, Model A Fords, and early open cars such as a touring or phaeton.
