John_Mc
All, my ‘48 Continental Cabriolet came with a generic Unity spotlight in fair condition with some pitted and worn chrome.. This spotlight does not have the “Lincoln” logo, is 12 volt (my car is 6) and has a dent in the light dome. For these reasons, and because the light is right in front for all to see, I’m thinking of just getting a new one from Unity. Cost delivered will be about $320, which I think is pretty reasonable. Question is, in 1948, would it most like have an ivory or black handle? Either is available. My interior is maroon leather. Any input would be helpful. Ray500
Unity made different sorts of logos for the spot lights. Mine are original on my 41 and it does have the Lincoln logo. You can sometimes fine them and their parts on eBay. If Unity can supply an original unit it would be great even though a reproduction. There could be some NOS somewhere, not likely.
