Problems between Macs and IPad and iPhone

I read and post to the forum on all three of these devices and as of the last update, the software doesn't seem to remember where I left off previously  if I switch devices.

For example, I will read a thread to the end on my Mac and then go to my IPad later that day and it will take me back to where I was previously.

I have all 3 devices having access to iCloud so the cookies that I assume it keeps track of you with should go between devices.

The same thing happens if I read on my IPad and go to may Mac or iPhone.

Any ideas ?

More complicated that you might thing.  There are no settings changes I can make that can fix this.  

This is related to browsers, cookies, etc.  Keeping them in sync is simply a moving target.
