My first thought was the forward-mounted steering rod would date it to quite early but a quick search found that Panhard retained that feature until at least 1910.

 

The other distinctive things were the large wheels and short wheelbase, and the offset crank handle.

Just saw the old motor post. I have these images as modern reprints I acquired maybe a year ago. I was leaving Hershey on that Thursday and had not bought anything, so I got these reprints, an original photo of  a Haynes and an original photo of a young woman in an open Auburn.
