drambo
Hello Gentleman, My Dad recently purchased a 1940 and it has no gas tank. He's having a heck of a time finding one. Can anyone on here point me/us in the right direction? Would love to find one for him for Christmas! Thank in advance.

39BuickEight
For my 1939, I bought a 1939 Chevy tank from tanksinc.com It has the same physical dimensions as the Buick tank, just has the filler neck on the wrong side. I installed it backwards and did some minor filler neck adjustment so I could get to the cap through the fuel door. I also had to route the fuel line around, but I had to put new fuel lines on anyway. Worked out great! I am not sure if this helps you or not, but it might if the 1940 Buick tank is similar. Pete Phillips
I'm having to do something similar on a '38 Buick. 1970-72 Chev. Nova tank is similar size, but the filler tube has to be relocated. www.tanksinc.com
