oldford
Andrew, I'm so glad your engine worked out for you. I felt so bad after you missed the first one... Frank
jcrow
What color and paint type did you pick for the block? Thanks
Akstraw
I have seen an original, unrestored car that has gray engine blocks, so that is what I went with. I wasn’t very concerned about an exact match, so we went with something off-the-shelf in a rattle can; from SEM, I think. Who knows what was really correct for each year? I have seen restored cars with various shades of green, from Ford A to John Deere. My original engine blocks were not usable, so I picked up a pair from a later model (you can see where we had to plug the holes for the second set of spark plugs) that appeared to have been originally painted black. Any color looks better than rust brown, I suppose.
