Oliverdepauw8
So i went into the store today and it was the first snowfall of the season here in MI and i come out and someone had backed into the front of my reatta. Trailer hitch dent in the bumper and the passenger side close to fender is hanging down. I would like some advice as what my options are (if the bumper will live on or if i should look for a new one) thanks all!
bryankazmer
I believe that the fascia or bumper on the Reatta was made of RIM (reaction injection molding) polyurethane. This is not what current body shops are used to, which is TPO (thermoplastic olefin). TPO replaced almost all RIM use, for a number of reasons. If the material is not cracked or deformed beyond the elastic limit, it can be eased back with heat and gentle pressure. Make sure a body shop understands that the part is RIM - current epoxies, fillers, adpro are designed for TPO.
